Jim Cornette

The Mouth of the Mountains. The Last Real Manager. The Architect of the Empire.
"They called me outdated. I called them gutless."
🧠 ROLE
- Owner of Smoky Mountain Wrestling
- Manager to Alexandra Hart-Cornette, Owen Hart, British Bulldog, The Midnight Express, and The Heavenly Bodies
- Wrestling historian, locker room general, and chaos conductor-in-chief.
🩸 ALIGNMENT

- The fans love him because he tells the truth — loudly, brutally, and without apology.
- Could cut a promo on a phone book and leave the audience wanting more.
📍 HOMETOWN
- Born in Louisville, Kentucky
- Resides in Louisville in a home filled with wrestling memorabilia, lovingly referred to as 'Castle Cornette'.
- Built SMW from the bones up with nothing but a vision and a grudge
💬 GIMMICK / CHARACTER
Jim Cornette is not a character.
He is the spine of professional wrestling.
A loudmouth, a truth-teller, a traditionalist with a nuclear temper and the sharpest tongue in the business.
He believes wrestling should hurt, that managers should matter, and that if you can’t talk a crowd into the building, you don’t belong in the building.
In a world of cosplayers, TikTokers, and superkick spam?
He’s the last manager standing.
And he brought the mountains with him.
💔 PERSONAL SIDE
Behind the racket and the rants is a man who’s lost more than most.
- He still grieves the territory system like a family death.
- He loves his wife, Alexandra Hart-Cornette, so deeply it terrifies him.
"She’s a Hart. Which means she’s got a heart. Which means she married me, which means she’s crazy as hell. But she’s mine.”
With Alexandra, Jim is soft in ways the world never sees.
And with their children?
He's Dad. And he'll rip the head off anyone who threatens them.
“I built this house so my kids wouldn’t have to beg a billionaire to believe in ’em.”
🏆 CONTRIBUTIONS TO SMW (AND THE UNIVERSE)
- Built Smoky Mountain Wrestling “as a middle finger to every sports-entertainment bastard that killed the soul of this industry.”
- Personally recruited Owen Hart and British Bulldog as the anchors of SMW.
- Turned high school gyms into sacred ground.
He refused the buyout.
He buried the invaders.
He didn’t just win the war — he burned their flags on local TV and got a standing ovation.
